Being a Consultant at KTL and Our Annual User Conference.

In this blog, I wanted to provide a little insight into what it is like to be a Consultant at KTL Solutions and shed a little light on what our user conference is all about from a consulting perspective. I have been working at KTL Solutions as a Senior Business Consultant for a little over three years. In this capacity I have been implementing and supporting Microsoft Dynamics GP, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and PaperSave along with many third party add-ons. Prior to working at KTL Solutions, I was also implementing and supporting ERP systems for about 20 years.

I thoroughly enjoy being a consultant at KTL Solutions. I find implementing and supporting ERP systems kind of like playing SUDUKO, but in this case you must always win. It is not just the fact that we are dealing with numbers, everything has structure, a logical place, can be balanced, and has dependencies that must be considered before taking any action. I enjoy being a consultant and I find it to be a challenging and rewarding occupation.
KTL Solutions has been dedicated to providing outstanding service to our clients. We provide senior level consultants. Each of our consultants has many years of experience working with the systems they implement and support. Our consultants are fully certified by Microsoft on the latest software versions that they implement and support. Not only do we offer implementation and support services, we also offer a fully staffed Development department. The development department can create customizations particular to a client’s needs. The development department can also create third party add-ons that complement the already robust features found in our product lines. KTL Solutions has a highly trainedstaff that will satisfy the varying needs required by our many clients.

One of the highlights during the year is our annual user conference. KTL Solutions hosts an annual user conference at a local Microsoft Center to provide additional resources to our clients. This year on May 14th, we will be hosting our tenth annual user conference at the Microsoft Center in Bethesda, Maryland. In the conference we provide our clients a chance to learn more about the software they own and how they can take better advantage of what it has to offer.

Several key areas we try to address in the user conference are:

  • What is happening within the ERP market place
  • What new features are available
  • What new features are being worked on
  • Where is each of the software lines going
  • Third Party packages that can make your life easier
  • Question for the expert
  • Informative Keynote speakers
  • And much more….

This will be my fourth user conference at KTL Solutions and I have found each one to be quite informative. Most of my clients have also expressed positive feedback on what they had learned at the conference and were excited to be able to bring useful information back to the office to share with their co-workers. We find over 60% of the participants return the following year to continue educating themselves and stay apprised of what is going on with their ERP system. The KTL Solutions user conference is an added benefit that our clients can take advantage of to enhance the utilization of their ERP systems.
