Looking Back on 2013

2014 is upon us, full of exciting moments yet to be had, future announcements yet to be made and future friends yet to be met. While everyone is looking ahead, making resolutions and planning for the future, we at KTL would like to take a moment to remember 2013 and all the events that came with it.

GP 2013 – CRM 2013

2013 was a big year for Microsoft Dynamics, releasing a drastic update to their two cornerstone products. Both Dynamics GP 2013 and CRM 2013 released too much fanfare from both resellers of the products and users who had been waiting for an update to an already feature rich group of software.

Dynamics GP 2013 provided users with 64-bit Microsoft Office compatibility, consolidated invoicing and payroll integration to payables. With CRM 2013, Microsoft finally brought social media integration into the mix by providing integration with Skype, Yammer, Bing and Microsoft Lync.

Convergence 2013

At Convergence 2013, Microsoft opened the door for what would become an exhilarating year. The event provided insight into the newly-released GP 2013 and unveiled key features within CRM 2013, as well as announced the acquainting of Netbreeze.

Convergence 2013 confirmed that Microsoft has a grasp on social and global networking. The company created unique Twitter hash tags and projected attendees’ conference-related tweets throughout the week. Twenty percent of those in attendance were from outside the US, showing that through the use of social meida, the conference has left a larger footprint.

User Conference 2013

In 2013, KTL Solutions enjoyed one of the most successful User Conferences in its history. With over 180 registered users, KTL filled the maximum capacity of the Chevy Chase Microsoft Training Center for a day of education and networking. This years event featured Amy Kennan of MyAppsAnywhere, Randy Chung of OfficePro, Doug Johnson of Acumatica and Nills Rasmusen of Solver. These presenters accompanied members of KTL Solutions and Microsoft in covering such topics as:

• New features of GP 2013
• Social media and Office 365
• Understanding CRM
• Cloud ERP and Acumatica
• Sharepoint 2013 and social media

KTL Solutions Expanded and Moved

KTL Solutions moved to a larger office in 2013, providing its team with a more spacious environment to work in. The moved help to accommodate our ever-growing staff. Our recent additions Elana Welborn, Scott Florance, Amit Trasi and Kloteh Somah accelerated the timetable and we are glad they did.

KTL becomes an Acumatica Gold Partner

To become a more global reseller of ERP solutions, KTL Solutions became a Gold Certified Partner. KTL aims to increase its education and spread its reach. This accomplishment recognizes outstanding channel partners who have achieved the highest level of customer satisfaction utilizing Acumatica’s cloud-based ERP technology, and who demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of Acumatica’s enterprise solutions.

Since Acumatica is sold exclusively through a network of value-added resellers (VARs), the Acumatica Partner Program was set up to develop and validate partners through extensive hands-on technical training and best-in-class sales and marketing support. To receive the Gold Partner Certification, partners are required to meet Acumatica’s stringent technical and service checks.
