CRM Polaris Release

On January 21, 2013, Microsoft announced the “broader availability” of the Dynamics CRM Online, updated in December 2012,named Polaris.  This update will bring more Microsoft Office, social networking, and multi-browser integration to CRM Online.  Some of the features include:

  • * Support for Microsoft Office 2013
  • *Support for Bing
  • *Support for Skype
  • *Multi-Browser Functionality (on both Mac’s and PC’s)
    •           *Internet Explorer
    •           *Google Chrome
    •           *Firefox
    •           *Safari

CRM on-premise users will be able to access most of the same new features as CRM Online users when Update Rollup 2012 is re-released to the public.

Starting in February 2013, users will be able to realize Yammer social scenarios and the iPad® sales experience.  The Microsoft team is currently working to deliver a multi-platform native client, using HTML5 and JavaScript, with a goal of releasing native clients to Windows 8, Windows 8 Phones, and the iPad® by mid-2013.
