Dynamics GP on Windows Azure set for June

Microsoft Dynamics GP is coming to Windows Azure in June; Microsoft confirmed this at this year’s Convergence event.  This new deployment option will offer what you would expect from an enterprise-grade cloud service –  stability, protection, security and the ability to scale and grow.  Microsoft has referred to the Azure service as being elastic and the fact that it can grow without adding servers will be great for partners.

I Love Convergence

Convergence started out as a 100 person event held in 1997 in Orlando, Florida, and has grown to the 12,000 attendee event it is today.  The idea for the event came from Doug Burgum (The Great Plains Software founder and CEO) as a way to get closer to customers and build a true community of developer, partner and customers.

Microsoft’s 2013 Release Calendar

Microsoft is known for making big announcements at Convergence every year  and this year was no different!  The most anticipated announcement was the release of Microsofts’ Product Roadmap.  The product roadmap outlined Microsoft’s aggressive strategy to commit resources toward the development of that they will be embracing cloud computing, devices and servicesto support channel partners and their customer base.
