#UC2016 – Take a look back at our CRM Track

KTL Solutions celebrated their 11th annual Empower the User Conference on May 19th at the Microsoft Center in Reston, Va.  This year, as in year’s past, KTL brought 3 unique tracks to the event allowing users to customize their own experience and gain the knowledge they deemed the most valuable.  However, we understand that not everyone could make it to all of their sessions. Below is a breakdown of what you may have missed from the CRM Track at UC 2016.

The Two Power Players: MSFT Dynamics CRM Meets Power BI

Kicking off this year’s CRM track at #UC2016, was KTL Solutions’ in house Business Intelligence expert Barry Crowell presenting on, “MSFT Dynamics CRM Meets Power BI.”  Barry brought the audience along as he demonstrated how Microsoft Dynamics sales productivity solutions can integrate with Excel and Power BI.  He then explored how to export data to Excel and Power BI, and with that, analyze sales performance, drive pipeline goals, prepare forecasts, and manage the sales team activities.

What’s New in CRM 2016

On-premises or online? That is the question. This year, KTL’s Dave Vora attempted to help you answer that question as he presented, “What’s New in CRM 2016.”  This year, Dave focused on identifying the parity between online and on-premises, and walked us through how it exists between both of them.  He also elaborated on the changing face of mobile CRM for tablets and phones, with the ability to access SharePoint documents, export data from mobile CRM to Excel, and the ability to share CRM pages to your mobile device.

SharePoint vs. CRM: Comparisons & Integrations

Dueling pianos meets dueling presenters in, “SharePoint vs. CRM: Comparisons & Integrations,” as KTL team members Andrew Lally and Scott Florance went toe to toe showcasing the strengths, individual needs, and exclusive features of each solution.  However, like any good piano duel, they slowly made their way to a harmonizing tune when they found a middle ground as they dove deep into the integrations that both solutions have together, separately, and with other effective outside products.

Empowering the Customer’s Journey in CRM

Scott Florance came right back with another session on, “Empowering the Customer’s Journey in CRM.”  Taking a personal approach, Scott spoke to the crowd as if it was their own, unique session.  He answered questions on the spot and enthusiastically, while he discussed best practices around customer service. He also spoke on how customer-centric organizations are using Parature to empower their employees and customer with the right knowledge, at the right time, to increase first-contact resolution and customer satisfaction. Don’t forget to check out our On-Demand video coming out on September 20, 2016 on a more in depth approach to this session.

Move to CRM Online: Don’t Fear the Cloud

To close this year’s CRM track, Dave Vora presented again. This time with the session, “Move to CRM Online: Don’t Fear the Cloud.”  Dave focused on calming many people’s fears of what moving to the cloud would really mean for their organization.  He discussed what to consider when moving to the cloud, by elaborating on security, infrastructure and costs, as well as requirements such as licenses and regulatory requirements.  Not to be bogged down with the technical aspects of moving, he stopped to discuss the perks and new features that makes CRM Online a standout solution for mobile sales teams.
