Going Paperless… PaperSave at the Empower the User Conference

KTL Solutions held its 10th Annual User Conference on Thursday, May 14th. This year we invited several more ISVS (Dynamics GP and CRM Companion Products) so that users could see more ways to enhance their systems outside of what GP or CRM has to offer. While KTL only asks the best of the best to attend and speak to our customers, one of my favorites that we had this year was PaperSave.

One of the hottest topics surrounding businesses these days is “going paperless”. Businesses are constantly being encouraged to go green and do away with the old clunky filing cabinets, holding so much wasted paper. While being environmentally friendly is of course a concern, there are so many other benefits to a paperless office!
Holly Condon, PIC Business Development and Marketing at PaperSave, shared many reasons, at the Conference, of why you should go paperless. I thought I would share a few that stuck with me…
  1. So many people are working from home… Nowadays “the office” can really mean anywhere. More and more people are working out of their homes. In the digital age we live in, it is completely possible to do everything you would in a traditional office from the comfort and convenience of your own home. However, having all company documents in filing cabinets in an office could pose quite a problem with employees working remotely. PaperSave would eliminate this roadblock. All important documents are right there and are still very secure.
  2. Cost savings… Obviously, going paperless will save a company on paper, ink, printers, etc. However, the most important cost savings has to do with employees. How many hours a week do employees waste printing, matching invoices, alphabetizing, and fling. Those are valuable hours that could be spent doing much more important things.
  3. Less mistake… PaperSave offers a drop-box feature allowing documents, such as invoices, to be automatically pulled in to the PaperSave system. This results in less invoices being lost, filed incorrectly, etc. Also, since they are already in the system there is a greater chance they will be paid on time, avoiding late fees and pesky collection calls.

These were just a few of the reasons Holly shared, but they resonated with me and I’m sure a few of the attendees as well. We live in a world where technology is constantly changing and helping us to become more efficient. It makes no sense that we would continue to clutter our offices with paper when we could easily digitalize all of it. It’s time to go Paperless!
